Business Development Associate

Job Description 

Roessel Joy is looking for a Business Development Associate to join the sales team. Business Development Associates are the face of Roessel Joy, building genuine partnerships with clients, understanding their needs, and working with their team to find the right person for the job. Our Business Development Associates work in a team environment and have responsibility for negotiating and developing business with new and current clients. The role is best suited for an independent self-starter with a high level of drive and the ability to function confidently and professionally within a sales environment. 

Responsibilities:

Source, qualify and contact passive clients online 

Own and manage a large and consistent pipeline of sales opportunities and clients by cold calling and sourcing online  

Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with clients 

Network with clients  

Prepare candidates before interviews with clients 

Keep detailed records of clients’ information and past feedback for future roles 

Manage a portfolio of clients and maintain good relationships with them 

Adhere to core activity metrics laid out by management 

Match highly skilled accounting and finance professionals with clients’ projects, temporary assignments and temporary to full-time opportunities 

Managing ongoing assignments to deliver outstanding customer service to both clients and candidates 

Provide ongoing communication and guidance to candidates 

Participate in local trade association and networking events to increase Roessel Joy presence in the local business community 

Requirements:

BS/BA in business management or sales field preferred 

Excellent verbal and written communications and relationship-building skills 

Ability to work in a fast-paced competitive sales environment 

Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail 

Desire to grow and take on more responsibilities 

Desire to exceed metric benchmarks and become a top producer 

1+ Years’ experience as a top producer from other staffing agency
